INDIANAPOLIS- The #12 UIndy Wrestling team went 3-0 on the day at its own Greyhound Duals, taking wins over #11 Tiffin, #17 Ashland and Davenport in the ARC Saturday.
The Greyhounds also celebrated Senior Day Saturday, honoring 11 seniors who will close out their UIndy careers this season.
#12 UIndy 28 - #17 Ashland 3
The Greyhounds (6-4) took nine of the 10 matches versus the #17 Eagles en route to a 28-3 win to open the day.
D.J. Smith opened the dual with a 13-4 major over Bryce Davis, and
Ana Abduljelil followed with a 2-1 win over Luke Wymer at 133.
Angelo Robles took arguably the dual's biggest win at 141, with the redshirt senior taking a 5-2 victory over #4 Chandler Minnard. #8
Kyle Barkovich continued the Greyhound win streak with an 8-5 win over Carson Speelman at 149, to push the UIndy advantage to 13-0.

Heath Lange came away with an 8-4 win over Chance Esmont before #11
Shelden Struble provided the second upset of the day with a 2-1 win over returning National Champion #5 Bret Romanzak.

Gleason Mappes, coming out of redshirt to start at 174 for UIndy, opened his career in a Greyhound singlet with a 4-3 win over Christian Price of Ashland. #6
Brody Conner put the Hounds up 25-0 with a 5-3 win over Daniel Beemer at 184, before the Eagles took their lone win of the dual as
Duane Deerwester dropped a close 4-3 decision to Peter Abraham at 197. #3
Dylan Faulkenberg iced the UIndy victory with a 3-1 win over #8 Tristen Weirich.
#12 UIndy 24 - #11 Tiffin 12
The Greyhounds took six of the 10 bouts versus the Dragons, with Smith again taking a win to kick off the UIndy dual, 7-5 in TB-1 over Giuseppe Penzone. Abduljelil followed with an 11-7 win over Rico Puente at 133, while Robles also took his second win of the day with a 4-1 victory over Dylan Mansor.
After Tiffin got back into the match with a tech fall at 149 and a win at 157, Struble took a 4-2 victory in SV-2 over Richard Screptock to bring the score to 14-8 Greyhounds, with Mappes tacking on six points with a pin in 0:57 of Collin Adkins at 174. After an injury default by the Dragons at 184, Tiffin took the final two bouts of the dual.
#12 UIndy 40 - Davenport 12
UIndy closed out the day taking eight bouts versus the Davenport Panthers. Davenport forfeited the 125 match, with Abduljelil closing out a 3-0 day with a 7-4 win over Asher Meekhof.
Davenport pinned at 141 to push the score to 9-6 Greyhounds, before Barkovich,
J.D. Waters Struble and Mappes strung together a techfall, two pins and a decision to blow out the score to 29-6.
After Davenport pinned at 184, a
Tyler Scott tech fall and a Faulkenberg pin closed out the Greyhounds' undefeated day.
UIndy hosts the Greyhound Open Sunday and is back in dual action Thursday night at UW-Parkside.
