INDIANAPOLIS – Junior Payton Staman was named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week, announced Wednesday. The All-American diver is the third Greyhound in the last 24 hours to earn GLVC weekly honors in his respective sport.
 
The Roscoe, Ill., native won both the one- and three-meter events versus perennial-power Grand Valley State over the weekend. Staman put up a six-dive season-high 312.3 points to edge teammate Josh Zylstra on the three-meter board, then posted a 284.0 in doing the same on the one-meter.
 
Staman's honor is the fifth GLVC Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week award for the Hounds this season – most in the league. It is also the first such nod for Staman in his UIndy career.
