INDIANAPOLIS – For the first time in his career, UIndy men's basketball senior
CJ Hardaway earned GLVC Player of the Week honors after his performances in three conference wins last week.
Â
The Indianapolis native caught fire last week, shooting 74.3 percent from the floor and averaging 21.0 points per contest. Hardaway went for a career-high 28 points against Rockhurst on Thursday, including a buzzer-beating jumper from the right elbow.
Â
Hardaway was a perfect seven-for-seven from the field at Missouri S&T last Monday, a nail-biting 75-74 victory for the Greyhounds, before drilling 12-of-13 against Rockhurst. The guard also averaged 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 block per game, including a week-best four dimes against William Jewell.
Â
Hardaway is the first Greyhound this winter to be honored by the league, and the first since
Ajay Lawton on February 5, 2018. Â
