INDIANAPOLIS- UIndy Wrestling's
Angelo Robles has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Wrestler of the Week, announced Tuesday morning by the league office.
Robles improved his record to 14-9 as the Greyhound starter at 141 pounds during the week with his second upset of a ranked opponent in a week, taking a 7-1 decision over UW-Parkside's #7 Nathan Smith Thursday evening. The redshirt senior also took a win over #4 Chandler Minnard of Ashland the weekend before at UIndy's Greyhound Duals.
This is the second career GLVC Wrestler of the Week nod for Robles, who was also chosen for the award Nov. 13 earlier this season.
Shelden Struble was last week's honoree, while
Dylan Faulkenberg has also taken the accolade this season for the Greyhounds, Jan. 8 following NWCA National Duals.
The Greyhounds are at home for the last time this year this weekend, playing host to the GLVC in Nicoson Hall for the first GLVC Championships. The event will be a dual, round-robin tournament and will start Saturday at 12PM.
