UIndy student-athletes post solid fall semester GPA

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis athletic department announced Monday that its 600-plus student-athletes combined for an impressive 3.30 grade point average for the 2018 fall semester.

All told, 12 of UIndy's athletic programs posted a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher, while all 21 teams finished the fall north of 3.0.

"UIndy student-athletes understand their academics are a top priority," said UIndy Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Sue Willey.  "It is very rewarding to see them excel in the classroom as well as in their respective sports."

Compiling a stellar fall GPA of 3.802, the men's tennis team led all UIndy squads in the classroom. They were followed by their female counterparts at 3.682, with women's cross country (3.673) softball (3.615) and women's track & field (3.609) rounding out the top five.
