INDIANAPOLIS- Dylan Faulkenberg has earned the Great Lakes Valley Conference's Wrestler of the Week honor, announced by the league office Tuesday.
Faulkenberg, currently ranked #3 at heavyweight in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) individual rankings, went 3-0 during the #18 Greyhounds' trip to the NWCA National Duals over the weekend. The redshirt senior opened his day with a 7-1 win over #1 Nebraska-Kearney's #5 Jarrod Hinrichs, and followed with a 5-3 win over AJ Cooper of #14 Fort Hays. The Monrovia, Ind., native closed out the 3-0 day with a first-period tech fall, 16-0, over Devin Uzelak of #7 Wheeling Jesuit.
The honor is the third of Faulkenberg's career, as he also was GLVC Wrestler of the Week 1/24/17 and 11/28/17. He is the second Greyhound to earn the league award this season, as UIndy 141

Faulkenberg and the Greyhounds head to Wisconsin-Parkside this weekend to face off with #2 St. Cloud State at the Ranger Duals. UIndy will wrestle the Huskies at 1:00 EST from Kenosha, Wisc.
