NORFOLK, Va. – After arguably one of the best seasons in program history last year at the NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships, the Greyhounds have already caught the eyes of the rest of Division II this season. After going 3-1 between the two teams last weekend, the men were featured as second place on this year's preseason top 25 poll, while the women made their way to seventh overall on the list as well.
TYR and the College Swimming Coaches Association of America ranked the men as the highest GLVC team in the poll, and put the women second in the conference to Drury (number three overall). Other GLVC institutions on the polls include McKendree (fourth), Drury (eighth), Lindenwood (10th), Missouri S&T (12th) and Missouri-Saint Louis (24th) for the men, and the women featured Drury (third), Lindenwood (eighth) and McKendree (24th).
The next time the Greyhound swimming & diving teams will be in action on Saturday and Sunday, as they tackle a two-day meet versus Indiana State and Missouri State in Terre Haute, Indiana. Saturday's events will start at 4 pm, and Sunday's will commence at 10 am.
