NEWPORT BEACH, Cal.- The UIndy doubles duo of
Dario Huber and
Renato Lima competed at the ITA Oracle National Fall Championships, pitting the Greyhounds against NCAA Division I's best.
Huber and Lima, the winners of the ITA National Super Bowl, represented NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and NJCAA institutions in the bracket of NCAA Division I's best.Â
The Greyhounds opened the event against Texas' Yuya Ito and Christian Sigsgaard, the seven-seed in the 32-team bracket. The UIndy pair fell to the Longhorn duo, 5-7, 7-6(2), 10/7, pushing them to the consolation bracket.
In consolation action, Huber and Lima bowed out of the event with a 7-6(4), 6-4 loss to  Bjorn Thomson and Parker Wynn of Texas Tech.Â
Huber and Lima were the first Greyhounds to ever represent UIndy in the ITA Oracle National Fall Championship, after becoming the first to win both the NCAA Division II ITA Fall Championship doubles title and the ITA Fall Super Bowl title.
UIndy will pick its season back up in February, with a match versus Tusculum Feb. 2 to open its spring season.
