URBANA, Ohio- The UIndy wrestling team opened the Division II dual portion of its schedule with a bang Tuesday night, taking a 48-0 win over the Blue Knights of Urbana.

The dual opened with a forfeit by Urbana at 125, and #12 Ana Abduljelil opened the action with a 14-3 major decision over Alec Fulwider at 133 to put the Greyhounds ahead 10-0. A Matt McKinney pin in 6:21 at 141 kept the ball rolling for the Hounds, with Tylan Tucker adding more bonus points with a 12-2 major decision over Jared Ford at 149.

At 157, Dawson Combest made his dual debut for UIndy, posting a 6-2 decision over Super Region #3's #4 ranked Cole Houser of Urbana. With the Greyhounds leading 23-0, the Blue Knights also forfeited at 165.

Gleason Mappes added five team points for UIndy at 174, with a 20-5 tech fall in 6:51 over David Gilbert, while #8 Brody Conner followed with a pin of Connor Dixon in 3:51 at 184 to push the team score to 40-0. Zach Fry tacked on another five with a 22-5 tech fall in 4:17 at 197, and true-freshman Griffin Stine closed out the shutout for UIndy with a 5-2 win over Nick Baker at heavyweight to run the final score to 48-0.

The Greyhounds will head across Indianapolis to Marian this weekend for the annual Indiana Little State meet. Wrestling from Marian will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday.
