The UIndy men's basketball team caps off the 2018-19 home slate with Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis visiting Nicoson Hall this weekend.

The Greyhounds have defeated the Saints in all nine contests between the teams, while UIndy claims a 24-6 record against the Tritons.

ABOUT MARYVILLE
The Saints have lost their last three games, and four of the past five contests, dating back to January 26. Maryville has won three GLVC games this season, including victories over in-region Tiffin and Walsh. 

Casey Teson leads the Saints with 20.6 points per game this season, while shooting 48.1 percent from the floor. Teson has also been steady at the charity stripe for the Saints, sinking 87 percent of his attempts. 

Jerome Davis is pulling down a team-best 5.6 rebounds per game, but scoring just 6.8 points per contest. The senior has also recorded 23 blocks and 15 steals this season. 

Head coach Marc Stricker is in his second season at Maryville and has a 28-22 record.

ABOUT MISSOURI-ST. LOUIS
The Tritons are working on their best season since 2014-15, along with putting together back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2013-14 and 2014-15. Missouri-St. Louis is already at 18 wins on the season, including victories on Tiffin and Walsh. 

Johnathan Matthews is scoring 14.6 points per game this season to lead the team, with 61 percent of his field-goal attempts coming from three-point range. The Phoenix product is drilling 45 percent of his three-point attempts, and maintains an 89.4 percent mark from the charity stripe.

Eric Dust is also averaging double figures in the scoring column, but leads the Tritons with 5.2 boards per contest. Shane Wissink is dishing out 3.6 assists per game and has totaled 36 steals.

Head coach Bob Sundvold is in his sixth season at Missouri-St. Louis. Overall, Sundvold has been a collegiate head coach for 14 years, and has won 214 games between stints at Central Missouri and Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). 

LEADERS OF THE PACK
The Greyhounds rank inside the top-five in the GLVC in 11 team categories, including topping the list in rebounds per game and defensive rebounds per game. UIndy also ranks second in offensive rebounding and three-point percentage defense. 

Trevor Lakes leads the conference with 3.73 three-pointers per contest, as he has drilled 41 from long range in 11 league games. The sophomore is also 10th in the GLVC in rebounding. 

Jimmy King's 5.58 assists per game in league action is second in the conference, while the junior point guard is third in assist:turnover ratio. 

SENIOR CELEBRATION
The Greyhounds will celebrate four seniors on Saturday prior to the game against Missouri-St. Louis: Radwan Bakkali, CJ Hardaway, Jesse Kempson, and Tye Wilburn. An Indianapolis native, Kempson is the lone Hound to spend all four seasons at UIndy, while Hardaway transferred from St. Joseph's College after his sophomore campaign. Bakkali and Wilburn both transferred to UIndy after spending time at Jacksonville and Wright State, respectively.

CHINK IN THE ARMOUR
The Hounds handed Bellarmine its third straight loss last Saturday, downing the Knights with a 78-69 defeat inside Nicoson Hall. 

CJ Hardaway led all scorers with 19 points, while Trevor Lakes chipped in 15. Jimmy King scored 14 points himself, and added eight assists in the win. As a team, the Greyhounds went 15-of-16 from the charity stripe, with five players sinking at least a pair from the line. 

LUCKY NUMBER 300
Junior Jimmy King recorded his 300th career assist in the win over Bellarmine on Saturday, and is now just five dimes away from joining the program's top-10. King remains 53 helpers away from matching Lucas Barker for eighth all-time, of whom was King's teammate for the 2015-16 campaign. 

BIG SPLASH
Sophomore Trevor Lakes is already 18th in program history with 110 made three-point field goals, and is 26 from joining the top-10. Former teammate Eric Davidson ranks fifth as a Hound with 214 successful long-range attempts.

LOOKING FOR A MIRACLE
The Greyhounds are 9-0 all-time against the Saints, with the rivalry dating back to January 2010. The 9-0 mark against Maryville is the third-highest win total without a loss against any team, as the Greyhounds are 13-0 against North Central and 11-0 against McKendree.

EXTRA TIME
Last season at Missouri-St. Louis, the Greyhounds staged an 11-point halftime deficit to force overtime and claim victory over the Tritons. Jesse Kempson scored 22 points and grabbed 14 boards in 32 minutes off the bench, leading the Hounds to victory. 

SEAT AT THE TABLE
The Greyhounds are up to seventh in the latest D2SIDA Midwest Regional rankings, with the final media poll to be released next Tuesday. The NCAA will release its first of three sets of regional rankings for all eight regions next Wednesday, with the selection show for the NCAA tournament scheduled for Sunday, March 10.

TWO HUNDRED AND COUNTING
Head coach Stan Gouard reached 200 career wins with the Greyhounds' victory at Illinois Springfield on February 2. Gouard is just the second coach in program history to win at least 200 games, with Angus Nicoson totaling 483 victories during his tenure. 

This marks Gouard's 11th season at the helm of the program, making him the third-longest-tenured coach in program history. Good mentored for 15 seasons, while Nicoson coached the Hounds for more than 29 years.

MICHIGAN MEN
The UIndy men's basketball team is 4-0 this season against teams from the state of Michigan. After opening the season with triumphs over Northwood and Saginaw Valley, the Hounds toppled Grand Valley State in Allendale before downing Lake Superior State in overtime at Nicoson Hall on November 21. 

The four wins over teams from Michigan is the most in program history against the state. The GLIAC schools have combined to go 40-42 so far this season, with all but Saginaw Valley winning double-digit games through February 2.

HOMEGROWN HOUNDS
UIndy has seven players from the Indianapolis area, including three from within the city limits: CJ Hardaway (Warren Central), Jesse Kempson (Heritage Christian), and Jimmy King (Roncali). Hardaway and Kempson are two leading returners for the Greyhounds this season, combining for 20.9 points, 9.7 boards, and 3.4 assists per game a year ago. King returns for his redshirt-junior campaign after taking a medical redshirt last season.
