INDIANAPOLIS- Following a 2-0 showing at the Lombardi Duals Sunday, Kyle Barkovich has been named the final Great Lakes Valley Conference Wrestler of the Week of the season, announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.

Barkovich, currently ranked #12 in the  NWCA Coaches individual rankings, took a highlight win over #6 Taylor Misuna of #4 Notre Dame (OH) 4-1 at 149. He followed it up by accepting a forfeit at 149 in the #15 Greyhounds' defeat of Kentucky Wesleyan. The Lawton, Mich., native is currently 16-7 on the season heading into the NCAA Super Regional.

UIndy is off this weekend in preparation for Feb. 23's NCAA Division II Super Region Three tournament at West Liberty. The top three placers at the regional will advance to the 2019 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships in Cleveland Mar. 8-9.
