LEXINGTON, Ky. - The #10 UIndy Tennis squad swept its third opponent of the week Friday, taking a 7-0 win over Tusculum.
The #16 duo of
Hanna Volikova and
Maja Pindelska led the win train, with a 6-2 win at two doubles. The one doubles team of
Nikol Alexeeva and
Anya Novikova coming in next with a 6-3 win.
Chloe Weihs and
Anna Valiaeva closed out the doubles point for the Hounds with a 6-4 win at three doubles.
Alexeeva was the first singles point, taking a 6-2, 6-0 win. Valiaeva came in with a 6-2, 6-2 win at five singles to notch the third UIndy point. Pindelska was next with a 6-1, 6-2 singles win in the four spot. Novikova took the fifth point with a 6-4, 6-4 win at three singles, with Volikova coming in with a 7-6, 6-1 win at two singles. Weihs closed out the sweep with a 6-2, 6-4 win at six singles.
Next up for the Hounds is a Division I match at Bowling Green Feb. 23.
