UIndy Greyhounds (17-7, 10-4 GLVC) at Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles (18-6, 10-4 GLVC)
Saturday, Feb. 23, 4:00 p.m. ET, Evansville, Ind.

ON TAP
The UIndy men's basketball team hits the road for a big road trip this coming weekend, heading to No. 9 Bellarmine on Thursday evening before a rematch with Southern Indiana on Saturday afternoon.

For the second straight season, the Greyhounds defeated the Knights at Nicoson Hall on Pack the House night. The Screaming Eagles have gotten the best of the Hounds each of the past three contests, with two of those coming in Indianapolis.

RIDING INTO THE KNIGHT
Since dropping three consecutive games, Bellarmine got back on track last weekend with a pair of conferene victories over Illinois Springfield and McKendree. Following this weekend, the Knights are scheduled to battle each of those teams once again to conclude the regular season.

Adam Eberhard continues to lead the Knights with 19.5 points/game, despite not starting in either contest on the road trip last weekend to Lewis and UIndy. Chivarsky Corbett, who leads the league in rebounding with 7.8 boards/game, has yet to play since leaving the contest against UIndy due to injury.

Heard coach Scott Davenport is in his 14th season at Bellarmine. The Knights claimed the 2011 national title under Davenport, earning himself coach of the year distinction by the NABC and DII Bulletin.

SOARING PAST THE COMPETITION
Southern Indiana has been hot lately, winning four of its last five and nine of its last 11 games. The Screaming Eagles have won each of the past three games against the Greyhounds since last season, with each of the prior two contests being decided by double figures.

Alex Stein paces the GLVC with 21.1 points/game, while teammate Emmanuel Little ranks fourth in the league with 6.7 rebounds/game. Gilwan Nelson is also in the top-10 in scoring, pouring in 14.9 points/game for the Screaming Eagles. Mateo Rivera is dishing out 4.5 assists/game, while Stein is handing out 3.0 helpers.

Head coach Rodney Watson is in his ninth season in Evansville, where he has amassed more than 200 wins.

THE CENTURY MARK
Last Saturday marked the 100th-career game senior Jesse Kempson has played in for the Greyhounds. With four games remaining on the regular-season schedule, the Indianapolis native is likely to enter the top-20 in program history in games played.

Eric Davidson, a 2018 UIndy graduate, finished his career with 105 games played.

CLIMBING UP THE RECORD BOOK
Jesse Kempson's name is written all over the program record book as he continues his ascent in total points and total rebounds. The 6'7 forward has grabbed 528 boards in his career, which ranks 23rd all-time in UIndy history.

Kempson is just 23 rebounds from entering the top-20, and 68 from the top-15. He also ranks 30th all-time in scoring with 1,098 career points.

BIG SPLASH
Sophomore Trevor Lakes is already 17th in program history with 117 made three-point field goals, and is 19 from joining the top-10. Former teammate Eric Davidson ranks fifth as a Hound with 214 successful long-range attempts.

LEADERS OF THE GLASS
The Greyhounds top the GLVC in rebounding, pulling down 36.9 boards/game as a team, including more than 26 on the defensive end. UIndy is also blocking 3.07 opposing shots each league contest, which tops the conference leader board.

DISH SERVED HOT
Junior point guard Jimmy King ranks second in the GLVC 5.86 assists/game during league contests. Last Thursday against Maryville, the Indianapolis native dished out 10 helpers as he passed Adrian Moss for 10th all-time. He is now just 38 from matching former teammate Lucas Barker with 353 assists.

ROAD TRIP
The Greyhounds have been successful this season away from Nicoson Hall, compiling a 6-1 record on the road. UIndy has won its last four road games, with its only loss coming at Lewis to open GLVC play on December 1.

LAST TIME OUT
The visiting Tritons led the final three minutes of the first half, and grabbed a 35-31 lead at the break by shooting 53.6 percent from the floor. Lakes, who had already drilled a pair from deep, was one of three Greyhounds with eight points at halftime.

The UIndy defense settled in during the second half, limiting Missouri-St. Louis to 25 percent from 3-point range. The Hounds scored 17 points in the final six minutes after Jordache Mavunga came up with a huge block down low, leading to a four-point play by Jimmy King less than two minutes later.

Lakes drilled his fifth deep ball of the game with 74 seconds left to give UIndy a four-point advantage, and Marcus Latham sealed the win with four free throws in the final minute.

After sitting out on Thursday, Hardaway finished with 14 points against the Tritons despite not shooting a single free-throw attempt. The senior leads the Greyhounds with 117 tries from the charity stripe this season.

As a team, UIndy has shot at least 80 percent from the free-throw line in six of the last seven games. The Hounds are 5-2 during that stretch.

SEAT AT THE TABLE
The Greyhounds are up to seventh in the latest D2SIDA Midwest Regional rankings, with the final media poll to be released next Tuesday. The NCAA will release its first of three sets of regional rankings for all eight regions next Wednesday, with the selection show for the NCAA tournament scheduled for Sunday, March 10.

TWO HUNDRED AND COUNTING
Head coach Stan Gouard reached 200 career wins with the Greyhounds' victory at Illinois Springfield on February 2. Gouard is just the second coach in program history to win at least 200 games, with Angus Nicoson totaling 483 victories during his tenure.

This marks Gouard's 11th season at the helm of the program, making him the third-longest-tenured coach in program history. Good mentored for 15 seasons, while Nicoson coached the Hounds for more than 29 years.

MICHIGAN MEN
The UIndy men's basketball team is 4-0 this season against teams from the state of Michigan. After opening the season with triumphs over Northwood and Saginaw Valley, the Hounds toppled Grand Valley State in Allendale before downing Lake Superior State in overtime at Nicoson Hall on November 21.

The four wins over teams from Michigan is the most in program history against the state. The GLIAC schools have combined to go 40-42 so far this season, with all but Saginaw Valley winning double-digit games through February 2.

HOMEGROWN HOUNDS
UIndy has seven players from the Indianapolis area, including three from within the city limits: CJ Hardaway (Warren Central), Jesse Kempson (Heritage Christian), and Jimmy King (Roncali). Hardaway and Kempson are two leading returners for the Greyhounds this season, combining for 20.9 points, 9.7 boards, and 3.4 assists per game a year ago. King returns for his redshirt-junior campaign after taking a medical redshirt last season.
