KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The UIndy men's basketball team (18-9, 11-6 GLVC) picked up a huge road win on Thursday at Truman (14-13, 9-8 GLVC), defeating the Bulldogs by a score of 84-77 to sweep the season series and move to 7-1 all-time in the programs' history.

The Hounds shot 13-of-23 from 3-point range, including 64.3 percent in the second half to pull away from the Bulldogs.
Jimmy King recorded his fourth double-double of the season, dishing out 10 assists to go along with his 17 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds trailed 16-9 early before
Jaylin Chinn capped off a 12-0 visitor run with a jumper at the 11:24 mark in the first half. Truman reclaimed the lead with under five minutes remaining, as
Jordache Mavunga and
Miles Wayer promptly sunk three 3-pointers within 59 seconds of each other to fuel the UIndy momentum heading into the break up, 44-39.

The Crimson and Grey caught fire in the second half from deep, with
Trevor Lakes hitting all five of his 3-pointers in the final 20 minutes. Back-to-back buckets by Lakes and
CJ Hardaway put the Hounds up 17 with six minutes left, all but sealing the victory over the Bulldogs.

Last time out against Truman, the Bulldogs staged a comeback to get within two points late in the second half after the Greyhounds grew a large lead. On Thursday, however, the Hounds took advantage of the Bulldogs five turnovers by scoring 15 tallies on the break.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
After recording consecutive four-point games against Southern Indiana and Bellarmine, senior
Jesse Kempson has totaled double digits in each of the past five contests with 17 points on Thursday. The Indianapolis native is also averaging eight rebounds in the current five-game stretch.

Wayer has made nine of his last 11 attempts from 3-point range over the past three contests, and has sunk four from deep in two of the games. The junior has caught fire at the right time for the Hounds as the regular-season finale is on Saturday.

The Greyhounds forced just five turnovers in the win, the team's lowest amount this season. UIndy is now 4-6 when forcing single-digit turnovers in a game.

UIndy wraps up its regular season on Saturday with a rematch of Quincy. Tip is scheduled for 4 p.m. from the Pepsi Center in Quincy, Ill., as the Hounds look to take their second game against the Hawks this season.
