INDIANAPOLIS- With the upcoming Lombardi Duals looming as the final regular-season competition of the season, the UIndy wrestling team features a #15 ranking behind six ranked individuals in the latest NWCA Division II Coaches Poll.
In the tournament ranking, St. Cloud State still tops the poll with 102 total points, followed by Nebraska-Kearney (69), Wheeling Jesuit (62), Notre Dame (OH) (61) and Pitt.-Johnstown (51) rounding out the top five. The Huskies also top the newly-released dual ranking, followed by Notre Dame (OH) McKendree, Wheeling Jesuit and Pitt.-Johnstown. UIndy comes in at #16 in the dual-strength ranking.
Individually, Greyhound heavyweight
Dylan Faulkenberg's #3 ranking still stands as the highest UIndy spot in any of the 10 top 12 listings.
Shelden Struble jumped two spots at 165, coming in at #7 in this edition of the poll, with
Angelo Robles making his rankings debut at #9 at 141.
Heath Lange held on at #11 at 157, with both
Kyle Barkovich (149) and
Brody Conner (184) coming in at #12 at their respective weights.
The Greyhounds will face off with #4 Notre Dame, and first-year program Kentucky Wesleyan Sunday at Maryville's Lombardi Duals. UIndy wrestles the Panthers at 5 p.m. EST, and will follow with the #4 Falcons at 3 p.m. EST.
