INDIANAPOLIS - In a battle of the top dog in Indianapolis, the #10 UIndy women's tennis team came out on top of visiting Butler 6-1 at the UIndy Tennis Center Friday evening.
After the Bulldogs took the one doubles match 6-1 the three doubles team of
Anna Valiaeva and
Chloe Weihs took a 6-1 win for the Hounds, with the two doubles team of #16
Hanna Volikova and
Maja Pindelska clinching the doubles point with a 6-3 win.

Nikol Alexeeva took the first singles point for the Hounds, with a 6-0, 6-0 win at two singles.
Anya Novikova pushed UIndy to a 3-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the three singles spot, with Pindelska providing the fourth Greyhound team point with a 6-0, 6-2 win at four singles.
Valiaeva came away with the match-winning fifth point, taking a 6-3, 6-0 win at five singles. After a Greyhound loss in the six singles match, #4 Volikova closed out the 6-1 win with a 7-5, 6-3 win in the top singles spot.
UIndy remains at home for a Sunday match with another Division I opponent, as the Greyhounds will welcome the Eastern Illinois Panthers to the UIndy Tennis Center for a 2 p.m. EST match.
