Greyhounds move to 13-0 with win over Cameron

SAN ANTONIO- The #10 Greyhounds closed out a successful trip to Texas with a 4-0 win over Cameron Saturday, good for the UIndy women's tennis team's 13th straight win in a thus far perfect 13-0 2019 season.

The Greyhound women's streak is the longest in program history, besting the 10 wins strung together by the 2017 UIndy squad.

Chloe Weihs and Anna Valiaeva started things off with a 6-1 win at three doubles, with the one doubles squad of #4 Nikol Alexeeva and Anya Novikova coming through with a 6-2 win to clinch the doubles point for the Hounds. Doubles two was left unfinished, with a 4-4 score.

The strength of the Greyhound freshmen then became the story in singles play. At six singles, Valiaeva finished out her match first, taking a 6-1, 6-4 win. Novikova was next off the court, pushing  the UIndy advantage to 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-4 win at three singles. #19 Alexeeva then iced the 4-0 Greyhound win with a  6-4 6-4 decision in the two singles spot.

UIndy heads into the Great Lakes Valley Conference portion of its schedule next Saturday, heading to McKendree for its opening match of league play.
