SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The UIndy women's golf team looks to add it its already impressive string of conference championships this weekend, as the Greyhounds will vie for an eighth consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference title. The annual GLVC Championships will take place in Springfield, Ill., at
Panther Creek Country Club, running Friday through Sunday.
Â
The team champion will be crowned after 54 holes of play, with the top individual earning medalist honors and the top five garnering All-GLVC accolades. Links to both video coverage and live results can be found on the tournament's
official homepage. Threesomes will begin teeing off at 9 a.m. ET Friday morning.
Â
Last spring, UIndy broke conference marks for lowest 18- and 54-hole scores at the
league championship, carding team scores of 296-303-287 for a final total of 886. The result was an unprecedented 37-stroke win over runner-up Missouri-St. Louis, good for yet another conference championship record for largest margin of victory. Four Greyhounds garnered All-GLVC honors, including medalist
Paxton DeHaven.
Â
Two of the four aforementioned All-GLVC honorees – senior
Katharina Keilich and junior
Pilar Echeverria – will be competing again this year. Keilich, the reigning individual
national champion, was a co-medalist at the 2016 GLVC Championships, while Echeverria is the two-time defending GLVC Player of the Year. They will be joined in the lineup this weekend by senior
Kennedy Holtsclaw, sophomore
Anna Kramer and freshman
Cailyn Henderson.
