ROMEOVILLE, Ill.- The #25 UIndy Men's Tennis team improved to 4-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play Saturday, with a 6-1 win over Lewis.
Renato Lima and
Magnus Mueller took the first UIndy win, 6-1, at two doubles. After the Flyers took a one doubles win,
Nils Hoffacker and
Maximilian Witthaus secured the doubles point with a 7-5 win at three doubles.
The Flyers notched their team point at one singles, but #31 Hoffacker took a 6-3, 6-2 win at two singles to get the Hounds back to their winning ways.
Dario Huber was the next to claim a point, with a 6-4, 6-5 win at three singles.
Ariel Farji clinched the Greyhound win with a 6-1, 6-4 win at five singles, while Mueller won 6-1, 7-5 at four singles and Witthaus closed out the match with a 6-3, 6-1 win at six singles.
UIndy closes out the regular season next Saturday at Southern Indiana, and will play host to the 2019 GLVC Tennis Championships at Center Grove High School April 19-21.
