OWENSBORO, Ky. – With 36 holes in the books, the UIndy women's golf team (292-296) held on to the lead at the 2019 NCAA East Super Regional Tuesday. The Greyhounds own a six-stroke advantage over second-place Findlay heading into Wednesday's final round.

Findlay cut into the UIndy lead with a second-round 291, but the defending champs held off the charge with a pair of 71s from its All-Americans as both
Pilar Echeverria and
Katharina Keilich finished the round at -1. Echeverria (72-71) leads the 65-woman field as the only golfer under par, while Keilich (75-71) now sits at +2 to share third place.

After an even-par first round, sophomore
Anna Kramer (72-76) remained on top 10, tying for eighth place at +4. Freshman
Cailyn Henderson (73-80) slipped to 15th place, while senior
Kennedy Holtsclaw (77-78) is now tied for 23rd.

The tournament concludes tomorrow with third-round action. The top four teams along with the top four individuals not with an advancing team will move on to Nationals. UIndy is the seven-time defending regional champion (as well as the reigning national champ), while Echeverria is a two-time medalist at regionals.

MONDAY
The Hounds had a good start to the 2019 NCAA East Super Regional Monday. With all five student-athletes positioned in the top 20, the Greyhounds finished the opening round with a team score of 292 to lead the field by seven strokes.

Pilar Echeverria and sophomore
Anna Kramer led the way, as each carded an even-par 72 to finish one back of leader Katie Chapman of Grand Valley State. Freshman
Cailyn Henderson (+1) is tied for fourth, while senior
Katharina Keilich (+3) also found herself in the top 10, sharing seventh place with six other golfers. Senior
Kennedy Holtsclaw concluded the round at +5 to tie for 18th.
