COLUMBUS, IN – On Friday, June 21st, this year's Greyhound Club Golf Extravaganza took place at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana. Beautiful skies, especially in the midst of a rainy week, made the day a spectacular one for golf.
The University of Indianapolis community has been so supportive of this outing every year. This allows us at the Greyhound Club to continue to expand upon the opportunities and services we provide to the University's student-athletes each year.
"I can't say enough how grateful we are for the support poured into these outings and the possibilities they provide for our student-athletes," said Matt Donovan, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development.
We extend a special thank you to Indiana Wedding Decorators, who supported the event as the Title Sponsor for the fourth year in a row.
This year, the Greyhound Club Golf Extravaganza raised over $10,000 to benefit the needs of UIndy Athletics' 23 varsity sports and 600+ student-athletes.
This is the first of three golf functions that the Greyhound Club conducts each year, with the other two outings being the Angus Nicoson Memorial Golf Outing and the Invitational Golf Classic. The Greyhound Club also puts on the Hall of Fame Dinner, the Senior Student-Athlete Banquet, the Online Auction, and many other events.
The next event is The Angus Nicoson Memorial Golf Outing, which is scheduled for Friday, July 19th, at Dye's Walk Country Club in Greenwood, IN. For information regarding upcoming Greyhound Club events and opportunities to participate, click here.
