INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis Athletics Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Preston as the new Associate Director of Athletic Advancement.

Preston brings a proven track record in collegiate athletics development, donor engagement, and strategic event management. In her new role, she will lead advancement initiatives, build key donor relationships, and expand philanthropic support for UIndy's student-athletes and athletic programs.

"Hiring Alex is an exciting milestone as we continue building the future of athletic advancement at UIndy." said Senior Associate A.D. for Advancement Sara Quatrocky. "I was looking for someone who shares our passion for serving student-athletes and engaging the Greyhound community; and Alex brings the experience, energy, and relationship-building skills to make an immediate impact. I'm excited to welcome her to our team as we work together to grow the Greyhound Club and create new opportunities for our donors and supporters to engage while making a lasting impact on the lives of our student-athletes."

Preston joins UIndy following her tenure as the Athletics Development Graduate Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University. At VCU, she played an instrumental role in launching the 1-On-1 Scholarship program, which successfully engaged key donors to establish eight new endowed scholarships for student-athletes. Her responsibilities also included managing donor hospitality for men's basketball games, authoring targeted fundraising proposals, creating marketing collateral, and planning the inaugural 1-On-1 Scholarship Program Dinner.

"I am humbled and honored to join the Advancement team at the University of Indianapolis," Preston shared. "From my first visit on-campus, it was very clear to me that everyone is passionate about the student-athlete experience. I am looking forward to connecting with donors, alumni, and fans who are invested in the success of Greyhound Athletics.

"I would like to thank Sara Quatrocky for believing in me and leading an incredible interview process. From conversations with Janel Bogenschutz, Jake Berry, Kim Pate, and the entire Advancement team, I felt invigorated by everyone's passion for the greater mission to serve the UIndy community."

Prior to VCU, Preston gained extensive experience in athletic administration and communications at DePauw University. She served as a Student Assistant in Athletics Communications and as an Athletics Department Intern, contributing to event logistics for the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs and spearheading comparative conference research.

A dedicated student-athlete leader, Preston competed on the DePauw women's tennis team and served as President of the Lambda Tau Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
