What is the Athletic Endowment Fund?
The Athletic Endowment Fund was established to serve as a permanent source of funds for our athletic programs. Endowment principal is never spent; a percentage of the accrued interest is used annually toward the athletic department's needs or program identified by the donor.
What is the difference between Annual Giving and gifts to the Athletic Endowment Fund?
Annual Giving represents the funds given by Greyhound Club donors each year. These commitments are categorized into giving levels such as Champion, Coach, etc. Annual giving is a great way to support the University's program on a year-by-year basis. However, another very important way of giving is with an endowment via the Athletic Endowment Fund. Endowments may be specified for a particular program or to be used at the discretion of the Athletic Department.
