INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis Assistant Athletics Director of Sports Medicine
Brian Gerlach is pleased to announce the addition of
Kaitlyn Wong to the UIndy support staff. Through the cooperation of the university's partnership with Community Health, Wong joins the UIndy staff as the department's first-ever Registered Dietitian.
"We would like to thank Community Health Network for their continued support of UIndy Athletics," said Gerlach. "As we work to provide the highest level of well-rounded care for Greyhound student-athletes, Kaityn's expertise will be invaluable. We are excited to welcome Kaitlyn to our sports medicine team."

Wong (left) is the latest addition to an expanding UIndy Sports Medicine staff. She will provide nutritional support to the nearly 700 Greyhound student-athletes. The Zionsville, Ind., native also works at Community South Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency, providing nutrition counseling for patients and educating residents on Medical Nutrition Therapy.
"I could not be more excited to join the UIndy Athletics sports medicine team," Wong added. "Working with an active population has always been a passion of mine. I am eager to see what the addition of nutrition support can do to promote the best performance for UIndy student-athletes."
Wong studied nutrition and dietetics at the University of Cincinnati and completed her supervised practice in the greater Cincinnati area.
