EVANSVILLE, Ind. – After moving to their best start in a decade last week, the UIndy women's soccer team took their 3-0 record on the road to face Southern Indiana Friday night. The Screaming Eagles scored early and the Greyhounds threatened late, but USI was able to hold on to give the Hounds their first loss of the season with a score of 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Screaming Eagles took the lead early on, finding the back of the net in the games 9th minute. Despite taking the lead and controlling the time of possession in the first half, the Screaming Eagles only got six shots off to UIndy's 11, but only four of the Hounds' shots made it on target.
Â
UIndy came out with more energy in the second half, pushing the tempo against USI. The Hounds made the USI keeper work hard in a matter of seconds.
Kaylee Zimbelmann missed a shot off the left post, getting the Screaming Eagles keeper out of goal for a brief period of time. Zimbelmann's goal set up freshman
Olivia Small with a goal opportunity but was unable to connect sending it off the crossbar. UIndy was unable to force overtime down the stretch, falling for the first time this season.
