Alvarez, Noble Join Swimming & Diving Teams

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis swimming & diving teams brought in two new assistant coaches for the 2019-2020 season, Monica Alvarez and Brent Noble. Both Alvarez and Noble bring a variety of backgrounds to compliment head coach Jason Hite in the upcoming season.

Alvarez is no stranger to the Great Lakes Valley Conference, having competed as a student-athlete from Drury as a nine-time All-American. After her time in intercollegiate athletics, Alvarez spent her time developing high-level student-athletes in southern Florida. Alvarez is also a retired professional swimmer from Colombia, where she holds the national record in the 100-meter breastroke.

The Greyhounds also snagged another coach from Florida in Noble, most recently at The Race Club. Noble's backgrounds come from a variety of areas in intercollegiate athletics, having previously coached in both Division I and III. Noble helped his former teams to All-American honors, national top-10 rankings and numerous school records. One of his notable tenures was at Wabash College, where he coached Little Giant squads that shattered 23 of the institution's 24 records. Noble, a former student-athlete as well, attend and swam at Eastern Illinois University.

The Greyhound swimming & diving teams will continue to prepare for the upcoming season, as the annual Crimson & Grey Intrasquad meet commences later this month on the 28th. Indianapolis will rattle off four straight dual meets against Division I opponents in the span of about two weeks.
