INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy freshman Andras Tiszai was honored as the PNC GLVC Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week, as announced by league officials Wednesday. In his first collegiate swim meet, the mid-season addition earned two wins against top competition last Saturday.

Tiszai's first victory came in the 100 back, as he topped the field on a 51.13 time in the event. The Hungarian import then dominated the men's 200 back, spreading himself almost three seconds from the second-place finisher. His final time of 1:49.91 was under the NCAA B-cut standard.

The weekly honor is the second for a UIndy male this season, and the first since Jan Zuchowicz took home the honor on Oct. 23.

The Greyhound swimming & diving teams will be back in action next week, as they travel to Granville, Ohio on Jan. 24 to take on Division III Denison University for the final dual meet of the season.
