INDIANAPOLIS – It was all Greyhounds on Thursday evening at Nicoson Hall, as the UIndy men's basketball team (13-4, 5-4 GLVC) cruised by the visiting Drury Panthers (11-6, 4-5 GLVC), 97-58.
 
The Greyhounds led by 15 at the halftime before exploding for 55 points in the second half to finish off the second-highest margin of victory of the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Three Greyhounds finished with double figures in the opening 20 minutes, with 
Trevor Lakes finding the bottom of the nylon on each of his six field-goal attempts, including four triples. Lakes sparked a six-point 
Cory Miller Jr. at the 4:17 mark, with the latter capping the stretch with an and-1 free throw after a 3-pointer.
 
UIndy's lead was never in danger during the second half, with a pair of free throws from 
Demarre Sims moving it to 30 with under nine minutes remaining. Head coach 
Stan Gouard emptied the bench at the under-eight media timeout, as freshman 
Frankie Davidson scoring six points in 7:11 of playing time. 
Jaylin Chinn also poured in seven points with two boards and a pair of dime in eight minutes of action.
 
The Greyhounds shot 56.7 percent from the field in the win, while limiting the Panthers to just a 28.8 percent mark, including 12.5 percent from 3-point range.

-Miller Jr. scored a game-best 20 points in the win, shooting seven of nine from the field and three for three from deep

Josh Bryan joined Davidson with six tallies off the bench

-In just 15 minutes of action, sophomore big man 
Jacob Polakovich pulled down a night-best seven rebounds
-Lakes upped his 3-point mark to 36.9 with his four-of-four effort against the Panthers, and has drilled 13 of his last 25 deep balls over the last four contests

Drury's 28.8 field-goal percentage was the lowest mark the UIndy defense has held a team to this season … Broc Smith led the Panthers with 11 points, while the Greyhounds limited Drury point guard and reigning All-GLVC First Teamer Conley Garrison to just two-of-nine shooting … UIndy's Lakes is now 15 of his last 26 from 3-point range against Drury.
