KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A victory at the top-ranked program in NCAA Division II may have been enough, but the UIndy men's basketball completed the perfect 3-0 mark last week against Drury and Southwest Baptist for good measure to earn National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team of the Week honors, released Tuesday.
Â
The Greyhounds downed then-No. 1 Bellarmine at Knights Hall eight days ago in the final regular-season meeting between the programs, as the latter will make the move to NCAA Division I after the academic year. UIndy soared to a 15-point halftime lead before outlasting Bellarmine in overtime down in Louisville.
Â
UIndy had no interest in making the win at Bellarmine its only statement of the week, nearly reaching triple figures in two key home wins over the weekend. The Greyhounds controlled the Panthers from the opening tip before winning, 97-59, on Thursday.
Â
Less than 48 hours after Southwest Baptist knocked off Bellarmine, UIndy welcomed the Bearcats to Nicoson Hall and treated the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) newcomer to a 97-79 loss on Saturday afternoon.

Junior
Trevor Lakes averaged 16.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in the three league wins. The Lebanon, Ind., native recorded a double-double at Bellarmine, tallying 17 points and 10 boards in the victory.
Â
The Greyhounds get back into action this Thursday at Lewis University. Tip from Romeoville, Ill., is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.
