Men’s Basketball Postpones Upcoming Contests

INDIANAPOLIS The UIndy men's basketball team has paused all team activities due to COVID-19 concerns. Following the protocols established by the NCAA and the Great Lakes Valley Conference, the program will temporarily cease for 14 days, postponing two conference games slated for later this week, as well the cancellation of a Dec. 8 exhibition contest at Indiana State University.

The concerns stem from an initial positive COVID-19 test result among the team's tier 1 personnel, which encompasses student-athletes, coaches and select support staff.  The temporary 14-day closure ensures the team meets the recommended isolation and quarantine guidelines in order to keep the entire team safe and healthy.

Every attempt will be made to reschedule the affected conference games versus Lewis University and McKendree University. Stay tuned to UIndyAthletics.com for further updates.
