ROLLA, Mo. – The No. 19 UIndy men's basketball team (21-5, 13-5 GLVC) won its sixth straight game on Saturday afternoon, leading wire to wire in a 92-76 win at Missouri S&T (5-19, 3-15 GLVC).

Trevor Lakes continued his hot shooting against the Miners, finishing five of seven from 3-point range. Each of
Jordache Mavunga and
Jacob Polakovich pulled down eight rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hounds played stout defense in the first half, allowing just 27 points off 27.8 percent Miner shooting. Despite a lack of offensive consistency in the opening 20 minutes, the Hounds shot six of 14 from beyond the arc to build a 13-point advantage at the break.

With how good its defense was, the UIndy 3-point attack was even deadlier in the second half. Lakes led the effort from deep, as the team finished with 14 long balls, one off it's season-high best of 15 against Grand Valley State.

UIndy shot 51.2 percent from the floor as a team in the final 20 minutes, including a perfect 10-for-10 mark from the charity stripe. Mavunga broke his recent cold streak with four 3-pointers, totaling 14 points to add to his eight boards.

HOUND BYTES
Head coach Stan Gouard
"Our guys set the tone to start the game. Cory was great out of the gate and I'm just really happy with our guys tonight.

"Trevor can shoot the ball with the best of them. He's in the all-time record book for a reason. We do a good job of getting him the basketball, especially when his hand is hot. We're not record-chasing. The more we play, the more we win, the more the individual accolades will come."
