INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's basketball team remained atop the NCAA Midwest regional rankings for the second straight week, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Â
The Greyhounds are 21-5 this season, including a 13-5 mark in GLVC action. Under the league's point-rating system, UIndy dropped from first to fourth this past weekend despite having won six straight games and 10 of its last 11.
Â
UIndy jumped four spots to No. 15 in the latest national coaches poll that was released on Tuesday.
Â
The regional advisory committee (RAC) uses a host of criteria to determine the poll's top 10, including performance indicator (PI), strength of schedule (SOS) among others. Among all Midwest region programs, UIndy ranks first in the following categories: Massey Rating, PI, RPI and wins against ranked opponents, while it is second in total regional wins with 19 and SOS.
Â

Trevor Lakes leads the Greyhounds with 15.8 ppg and 6.1 rpg, while senior
