INDIANAPOLIS- The postseason begins Saturday in the friendly confines of Nicoson Hall for #24 UIndy Wrestling, as the Greyhounds play host to the NCAA Division II Super Region 3 Tournament. The 10-team event will determine who wrestles at the 2020 NCAA Division II National Championships in Sioux Falls March 13-14, with the top three finishers in each weight class heading to the NCAA meet. Action begins at 10 a.m. from Nicoson Hall, see below for some notes on the Hounds as they head into the postseason.

MULTIPLE TIME QUALIFIERS
A pair of veteran Greyhounds enter their final postseason having already made trips to the NCAA Division II National Championships, with
Ana Abduljelil and
Brody Conner both bringing Nationals experience into this season. Abduljelil and Conner are both two-time National Qualifiers, with Abduljelil going to the NCAA meet in 2017 (125) and 2019 (133) and Conner qualifying in both 2018 and 2019 at 184.Â
BRODY WINS
Brody Conner enters the NCAA Regional with a career record of 89-46, with his 89 career wins good for a tie for the 19th best win total in program history. In addition to his win totals, Conner is also successful in the classroom. The redshirt senior is just the second student-athlete in UIndy Wrestling history to be named an Academic All-American, and is a two-time NCAA Elite 90 finalist.Â
THE FRESHMAN PINS
True Freshman
Chase Wilkerson has made his mark in his first year as a Hound, with the Mt. Vernon product coming into his first NCAA Regional with 11 pins among his 20 wins on the year. Wilkerson's 11 pins is good for a tie for second-most for any Greyhound freshman all-time, and currently leads UIndy on the season.
YOUNG HOUNDS
The 2019-20 edition of the Greyhound starters features a young group, anchored by
Dawson Combest,
Jack Eiteljorge, and
Gleason Mappes in the heart of the lineup at 157, 165, and 174. Â The pair of redshirt freshmen and sophomore, along with freshman
Chase Wilkerson, have combined for 69 wins this season.
FRESHMAN PHENOMÂ
Dawson Combest has amassed quite a resume in his first season in a Greyhound singlet. The redshirt freshman was named the GLVC Freshman of the Year, and has found himself ranked #9 in the NWCA Coaches rankings heading into his first NCAA Regional. Combest is the only Hound to earn a GLVC Wrestler of the Week nod on the year, and comes into the posteseason with a record of 19-5 as the UIndy 157. He also currently stands in fourth in the NCAA Most Tech Falls listing with 6 techs in 30:54.
