FINDLAY, Ohio – UIndy senior
Jimmy King was named a D2CCA First Team All-Region selection on Friday morning, adding to his unanimous All-GLVC First Team honor last week.
Â
King wraps up his career ranked second in program history with 542 assists, just five short of the record. The Indianapolis native dished out a career-high 14 helpers back in November at Cedarville.
Â
King averaged 13.3 ppg and 3.8 rpg in his final season as a Hound, while recording a GLVC-high 6.7 apg. His 1,227 career point ranks 24th in program history, while his 111 games played is the third-most among past Greyhounds.
Â
The Roncalli alum handed out 193 assists, the fourth-most in a single season in program history.
Â
King is the first All-Region honoree since
Jordan Loyd following the 2015-16 season. Loyd was named All-America by the DII Bulletin that season. Â
Michigan Tech's Kyle Monroe was voted the CCA Midwest Player of the Year. Fellow GLVC players Brodric Thomas, Alec Cook and Yakeema Rose were also named to the lists.
