KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UIndy head coach Stan Gouard and senior point guard Jimmy King were recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Monday afternoon, as the organization announced its All-District teams and coaches.
 
Gouard was tabbed the Midwest Region Coach of the Year, leading the Greyhounds to a 24-6 overall record and the top seed in this year's regional tournament. Under Gouard, the Hounds posted a 3-2 record against top-25 programs, including a win at No. 1 Bellarmine on Jan. 20. UIndy also swept Southern Indiana, Gouard's alma mater, for the first time since the 2011-12 campaign.
 
UIndy earned hosting rights to the Midwest Regional for the first time since 1997.
 
King continues to haul in postseason awards, with the first NABC All-District First Team nod since Jordan Loyd in 2016. The Indianapolis native finished her career with 542 assists, just five short of the program record, along with 1,227 points for 24th all-time.
 
King led the GLVC with 6.7 assists per game this season, while averaging 13.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest. A unanimous All-GLVC First Team selection, King also earned D2CCA All-Region First Team honors last week.
