INDIANAPOLIS – Four Greyhounds earned All-GLVC recognition on Wednesday morning, with senior Jimmy King receiving unanimous first-team distinction.
 
Junior Trevor Lakes was named to the league's second team for the second straight season, Cory Miller Jr. snagged All-Defensive squad honors and freshman Ben Nicoson was selected as the team's James R. Spalding sportsmanship nominee.
 
All-GLVC awards are voted on by the league's 16 coaches.
 
King earned back-to-back All-GLVC First Team laurels for the second straight year, averaging 13.1 ppg and 6.7 apg for unanimous selection. The Indianapolis native anchored the GLVC's top scoring offense at 83.3 points per contest, with the team totaling a 16-1 record this season when putting at least 80 tallies on the scoreboard. King became the 42nd Greyhound ever to surpass 1,000 career points back in January and is just 17 assists from matching Ron Rutland's program-best mark of 547.
 
Lakes continued his sharp-shooting as a junior, posting a 41.1 percent clip from 3-point range this season and totaling 99 long balls prior to the GLVC Championship Tournament. The Lebanon, Ind., product leads the team with 15.9 ppg and tops the conference with 3.54 triples per game. Lakes saved his only double-double of the season for the Hounds' win at Bellarmine, recording 17 points and 10 rebounds.
 
Miller Jr. kept UIndy's streak alive of securing at least one spot on the league's All-Defensive team, earning the distinction in his first season as a Greyhound. The John Wood CC transfer has totaled 38 steals and eight blocks this season, including 23 and five in GLVC play, respectively. Miller Jr. has also scored 11.7 ppg in his first season at UIndy, while grabbing 3.2 rpg.
