KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The UIndy baseball team wrapped up their weekend series against Truman this afternoon. Winners of their last 11 games, the Greyhounds fell for just the second time all season as the Bulldogs won Sunday's series finale, 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Truman took the lead early before a run from UIndy in both the sixth and seventh innings gave the Hounds the lead heading into the game's final innings. The Greyhounds added one more run in the top of the eighth when
Ty Williams brought
Hunter Waning in to take a 3-1 lead. In the bottom half of the inning, Truman scored three runs on a pair of UIndy defensive errors to take the late 4-3 lead. With a chance to tie or take the lead in the ninth inning, the Greyhounds went three up, three down to end their 11-game winning streak.

Myc Witty pitched six innings for the Hounds today, only giving up one earned run during his time on the mound. Witty struck out eight Truman batters to bring his season total to 16 Ks while having only given up six hits after missing all of last season with injury.

-The Greyhounds' 11-game winning streak is their longest such streak since 2018 when they rattled off 12 straight wins.
