MUNCIE, Ind. – The University of Indianapolis diving squad traveled to Mid-American Conference School, Ball State on Saturday. The UIndy women compiled a combined score of 1,127.175, while the men posted 1,227.85.
"I thought we matched up well with Ball State," Head Diving Coach
Dave McKown said. "We're right where we need to be for mid-January."
HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore
Cade Hammond took a first for the Hounds posting a 303.15 in the 1-meter. While sophomore
Jason Lenzo added a second in the 3-meter, and a third in the 1-meter.
On the women's side, sophomore
Mikaela Starr earned a second in the 1-meter and a third in the 3-meter. Senior
Ashten Busscher also added a third in the 1-meter for UIndy.
"The athletes had fun and finally got the chance to compete," said McKown.
Added McKown: "Preparation for GLVC will be getting those last new dives in the water, detailing, and getting in the groove with the competition routine."
