INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's basketball team (5-8, 5-8 GLVC) upped its win streak Saturday afternoon, taking down the visiting Quincy Hawks in Nicoson Hall, 86-78. Seniors

INS & OUTS
The Hounds started red hot, sinking 15 of their first 20 field goal attempts to push the lead as high as 18 points in the first, but the Hawks closed the half with a 19-6 surge to cut it to five at the break.
Â
The second half turned out to be a battle, with Quincy slowly creeping back to within three points, 66-63, with 7:18 to go, but Montgomery made back-to-back big plays to take back the momentum. Immediately after draining a deep 3, the Horn Lake, Miss., native  earned a steal and finished the break-away with a one-handed flush to regain some breathing room.
Â
UIndy used a pair of and-1s down the stretch to help seal it, with sophomore
Kendrick Tchoua and redshirt-freshman
Jesse Bingham each completing a conventional three-point play late in the game.
