INS & OUTS
Just a few days after setting season highs in points and field goal percentage
last time out, UIndy struggled offensively through the early going. After a game-opening 3 from
Dee Montgomery, the Hounds endured a four-plus-minute scoreless stretch as the host Bulldogs ran off 15 unanswered points to take control.
Â
UIndy trailed by as much as 19 points early in the second half but managed a late spurt to make things interesting when a triple from
Mikail Simmons sparked a surge that would eventually make it a two-possession game. Nine consecutive points capped an 18-6 rally to make it 57-51, but that was as close as things got.

HOUND BYTES
Head coach Paul Corsaro on where his team fell short…
"The defensive end … Our defensive intensity wasn't what it was as we went on this win streak. It started out of the gates; we spotted them a 15-3 lead and we were never able to recover."
Â
Corsaro on the team's late spurt...
"I think we cut it to six? But that's when we really have to clamp down defensively and then we had another couple breakdowns, so we just weren't our best tonight."
