ST. LOUIS – The UIndy women's basketball team (4-4, 4-4 GLVC) had its four-game winning streak ended Saturday afternoon, falling at Missouri-St. Louis, 75-57. Senior sharp-shooter
Taylor Drury put up a season-high 23 points but it was not enough to overcome a hot start by the host Tritons (5-3, 5-3).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tritons scored the game's first 11 points and did not look back, building a 22-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and 50-26 advantage at the half.
UIndy made a push in the third period, however, with a 16-4 rally to start the third period. The Hounds connected on 6 of 7 field goal attempts during the run, including four 3-pointers – three coming from Drury.
The surge got the Greyhounds to within a dozen, but UMSL finally answered with three straight buckets to quell the momentum.
