INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis volleyball team bounced back with a 3-0 win over GLVC foe Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon.  The Hounds served up six service aces to the Miners' one while racking up 37 kills.

With the win, UIndy improves to12-13 overall and 8-5 in conference action with only two weeks of regular season competition remaining.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 9-8 in the first, the Hounds scored four quick points to jump out to a 12-9 lead.  Elizabeth Eads served up an ace in the run while Alex Equihua capped it off with a kill.  The Miners fought off set points but Emma Jones sealed the 25-23 win with a kill.

The Hounds trailed 18-17 late in the second set before a trio of Miner errors gave the Hounds a 20-18 lead.  Grace Hegwood, Equihua, Lauren Cullison and Emma Jones combined to record the final five kills the Hounds in another 25-23 win.

UIndy posted a game-best .241 hitting percentage in the third and final set.  Cullison's kill put the Hounds ahead 24-17 before a Miner service error gave UIndy the win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Cullison paced the Hounds with 11 kills while Hegwood recorded seven.
- Equihua tallied 30 assists while adding three kills.
- MaKenna Barnhart led the defense with 19 digs.

UP NEXT
UIndy heads out for three road matches next week, first traveling to Evansville to take on Southern Indiana on Tuesday night.  The Hounds then visit Missouri-St. Louis on Friday and Maryville on Saturday in their final road trip of the regular season.
