INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's basketball team kicked off the season with a convincing 80-47 victory against visiting Lake Erie on Friday night. Sophomore
Kendrick Tchoua led three Greyhounds in double figures with a game-high 18 points.

The Greyhounds sprinted out of the gates with 12 unanswered points and did not look back. The lead ballooned to 20 points at the five-and-a-half minute mark in the first half and the Hounds went on to double-up their opponents at the break, 43-21.

The Greyhounds would lead by 30 points or more for most of the second half, with the margin topping out at 41 late in the game.

UIndy turned up the pressure on the defensive end particularly, forcing 22 Storm turnovers while limiting them to a shade over 30-percent shooting from the field, including just 4 of 28 (.143) from long distance.

INSIDE THE BOX
- Tchoua finished 8 of 13 from the floor, adding four rebounds and a block.

Cory Miller Jr. joined Tchoua in double figures with 13 points, while
Jesse Bingham came off the bench to score 14 points.
- In his first regular-season game as a Greyhound,
Jakobie Robinson chipped in seven points with a team-high seven boards.
