EDMOND, Okla.- The #13 Greyhound wrestling team split a pair of Super Region 4 duals Sunday, defeating Newman before falling to #4 Central Oklahoma. 

Both #5 Andrew Sams (6-1) and Cale Gray (6-1) earned a pair of wins on the day for UIndy, with Gray also putting up one of two Greyhound pins on the day- a fall in 4:27 over Newman's Hunter Scott at 285. Chase Wilkerson was the other pinner, with a fall in 2:54 at 133 against Newman's Chadwick Stahl, to put UIndy ahead for good versus the Jets. Sams notched a major decision in his first match of the day, 10-2 over the Jets' JD Johnson, and followed with a 4-3 win over UCO's Kalin Winkler in his second match. 

INSIDE THE DUALS
-The three teams combined to put nine ranked wrestlers on the mat in the two duals. Central Oklahoma featured #6 Paxton Rosen (125), #3 Tanner Cole (133), #5 Ty Lucas (157), #1 Heath Gray (184), and #1 Dalton Abney (197), while Newman sent out #6 Kam Frame at 165. UIndy's #10 Logan Bailey (149), #12 Jack Eiteljorge (165) and #5 Andrew Sams (174) rounded out the day's heavy hitters.
- In addition to Wilkerson, Sams and Gray, Breydden Bailey, Gleason Mappes and Derek Blubaugh all took wins on the day for UIndy, while Logan Bailey also accepted a forfeit.

The Greyhounds get back into open competition, heading to the Findlay Open Saturday.
