INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's basketball team dropped its third match of the season to the Northwood University Timberwolves in a close overtime duel, 64-60.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The volume of the crowd and the UIndy bench in Nicoson Hall was unmatched, even the most confident of teams could feel the pressure of playing in Greyhound territory.
By the end of the first half, UIndy led by 12 and proved to be aggressively dominate the game up to that point. Having shot 40 percent from field goal range, and 33 percent from three at the end of the first half.
Northwood entered the second half ready to fight for its comeback, earning 23 third quarter points and shooting 62.5 percent from the field, the Timberwolves would not go down easy, tying it up to end the third quarter.
After a neck-and-neck fourth quarter, the first overtime brought intensity and more aggressive play from both teams. It was the Timberwolves who took the close win.
Sadie Hill led the Greyhounds with 13 points, four rebounds, and four blocks.
The Timberwolves were led by Alana Nelson, who posted 29 points and nine rebounds.
