INDIANAPOLIS – In their penultimate home game of the season, the UIndy men's basketball team posted their second largest win of the season. The Hounds downed Saint Mary-of-the-Woods 86-41 behind six players posting double figures. Sophomore Kendrick Tchoua posted his second double-double of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hounds led for the full 40 minutes as Jesse Bingham opened the game with a corner three. Midway thru the first half Tchoua notched a fast break lay up to give UIndy their first 10-point lead of the game.  The Hounds shot 53.3% from the floor in the first frame to take a 45-19 lead to the locker room for their largest halftime lead of the season.
UIndy opened the second half with a 21-0 scoring run, their biggest run of the game. The Pomeroy's were held scoreless for nearly eight minutes of play. The Hounds hot offense continued in the second half, shooting 51.5% and outscoring Saint Mary-of-the-Woods 41-22. Tchoua posted 11 points in the second half alone, shooting 5-of-6 and grabbing six rebounds.
SEEING DOUBLE
Tchoua's second double-double of the season contained 18 points and 13 rebounds. The sophomore scored 11 points in the second half alone, shooting 5-of-6 from the floor. Additionally, a season-high six Greyhounds scored in double figures led by Tchoua (18), Bingham (16), Aaron Etherington (12), Julian Steinfeld (12), Dee Montgomery (11) and Sean Peeters (10). UIndy has had at least three players post double figures in every game this season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Hounds held the Pomeroy's to a .274 shooting percentage, the lowest of UIndy's opponents this season.
- For the second time this season, UIndy recorded 10+ steals, tonight grabbing 10. UIndy previously tallied 12 against Ohio Valley.
- UIndy posted a season-high 11 blocks led by Steinfeld with five.

The Hounds return to action on Sunday, December 19 on the road against Northern Michigan. UIndy will be back at home on New Year's Eve against East West University.
