ROMEOVILLE, IL – The University of Indianapolis men's basketball suffered their first GLVC loss of the season on Thursday night, falling to Lewis University 85-71 in Romeoville.  Cory Miller Jr. led the offense with 16 points while Jesse Bingham flirted with a double double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Flyers opened the game with their longest run of the night, outscoring the Hounds 15-0 over the first six minutes of play.  Julian Steinfeld put the Hounds on the board with a jumper in the paint.  UIndy went on to shoot 27.9% (8-for-29) in the first half as they trailed 37-22 at the break.

Miller Jr. knocked back a three at the 15:36 mark of the second half to put the Hounds deficit at 14 but the Flyers responded with five quick points to halt UIndy's momentum.  Lewis led by 24 until back-to-back three's from Miller Jr. and Dee Montgomery put UIndy within 18 with just over six minutes remaining.  Lewis was quick to silence the Hounds offense with a 9-2 run that put the game out of reach for the Hounds.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Four players scored in double figures for the Hounds in Miller Jr. (16), Bingham (13), Montgomery (12) and Steinfeld (10).  UIndy has had at least three players finish in double figures in every game this season.
- Bingham nearly recorded his first double double of the season, tallying 13 points and 8 rebounds.  The circle city native is averaging 14.6 points per game this season.
- The Hounds edged Lewis in the battle for the boards, 34 rebounds to 33.
