INDIANAPOLIS - In an almost identical scorecard to when the men's team faced off with Butler earlier this week, the UIndy women's tennis team came away victorious today over the visiting Bulldogs, 5-2

Nikol Alekseeva and
Anna Novikova took the first victory in a 6-0 shutout. They were followed by junior
Maria Solnyshkina and freshman
Lorraine Lissmann, who had a decisive 6-1 triumph. And wrapping up doubles was senior
Alina Kislitskaya and her partner
Kristina Lagoda, who secured the sweep in a 6-2 win.
.
Following doubles was singles action, which saw Alekseeva strike first in another dominating win, only dropping one game across two sets, 6-0, 6-1. Finishing next was No. 3 singles Kislitskaya, who followed with a straight-sets win of 6-2, 6-3.
Â
Next was the last of the top-three singles for the Hounds, as Novikova took a 6-4, 6-3 win over her Bulldog opponent and in the process secured the overall match win for the Greyhounds.
Â
The winning did not stop there as Lagoda edged out a 7-5 first set win before winning the second set in authoritative fashion, 6-0.
