ST. CHARLES, Mo.- In the final match of the regular season, #T10 UIndy Wrestling fell 32-8 to #3 Lindenwood at the Lions' Hyland Arena Saturday.
The host Lions took wins in the first five bouts to amass a 20-0 lead heading into 165.
Jack Eiteljorge (6-0), currently ranked #6 at 165, put up the first Undy points with a 4-3 win over Nate Trepanier. At 174, #3
Andrew Sams (7-0) added another three points for the Hounds with a 9-2 win over Tim Bogar of Lindenwood.Â
The Greyhounds would garner one more win on the day, with
Derek Blubaugh (7-2) putting up a major decision, 9-1, over Keaton Fogler at 197, to push the final score to 32-8 in favor of the host Lions.
Next up for the Hounds is the NCAA Super Region 3 Tournament, with UIndy traveling to Tiffin for the qualifying event Feb. 27. Following the regional, the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championships will be held in St. Louis, March 12-13.
