ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The No. 13 UIndy softball team (11-2) picked up four wins in as many games this weekend to move to 11-2 on the season and 4-0 in GLVC play. After earning a pair of non-conference wins at home versus Tiffin Saturday, the Greyhounds returned the conference play Sunday with a doubleheader sweep at Lewis University (10-9, 3-5).

The Hounds got on the board with a two-run bomb from senior
Taylor Danielson in the top of the second and did not trail the rest of the way. Senior
Gianni Iannantone added a solo shot in the third, and starting pitcher
Hallie Waters (6-1) did the rest, holding the host Flyers to just two runs in the complete-game win.

Emily O'Connor finished with two hits and a ribbie.

Freshman
Kenzee Smith continued to impress in her rookie campaign. The hometown product blanked the Flyers Sunday, tossing a one-hitter on the way to her first shutout as a collegian. Smith also set a season high with 12 strikeouts in six frames, giving her 23 Ks on the weekend.

Senior
Haylie Foster finished 3 for 3 for a career-high four RBIs, driving in two on a second-inning double and two more on a single in the fifth. O'Conner tacked on two more RBIs of her own, while Danielson hit her second home run of the day with a solo shot in the sixth.
